We wrote to the Star Tribune in response to a recent article on the rise in poverty in Minnesota and across the nation, citing the need for tax credits to remain as leaders look to cut $1.2 trillion from the national budget.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue will not be issuing state income or property tax refunds during the shutdown (including refunds for property tax returns filed earlier this year), however requirements to file and pay remain intact.
